ABOUT US

Meet the Little's!

Keith and Kelly Little have a beautiful blended family. Their kids range in age from their 30's to 2 years old. They are;
D.J., Lance, Rylie, Keegan, Katie and Kinley.
Each of their children possess a unique passion for horses that Keith and Kelly have proudly instilled in them since birth.
They were both born and raised in central Iowa. Two of their sons reside in Mississippi, and, upon Keith's retirement from education/administration in Iowa, Kelly and Keith decided it was a perfect time to relocate and start a new adventure.

Experience
Combined, Keith and Kelly have over 70 years of experience with horses. They decided to take that experience and invest in their own business where they could share their knowledge and passion for the equine industry. The purchase and sale of quality horses is just one aspect of what they offer. When you choose Red Rooster Horse Co., you also get;
-
Honesty
-
Reliability
-
Compassion
-
Loyalty
-
Horses and ponies in a variety of equine disciplines for purchase
-
Opportunity for all ages and riding levels to grow

Why Red Rooster Horse Co.?

Keith and Kelly chose to name their business in honor of Kelly's late father, Paul Beck aka "Red Rooster." Paul got the name during his farming days back in Iowa. They would communicate over CB (citizens band) radio and "Red Rooster" was always Paul handle.

Family History

Kelly has loved horses since the day she was born. Her father, Paul, instilled the same passion and respect for horses in her, the she instills in her children. Horses are truly a part of who Kelly is and it is likely that it is in her DNA. She takes great pride in the work she does with each and every horse.
Kelly has been riding horses since the young age of 3, with her father by her side. Paul is the greatest influence in Kelly's life and is the reason she is the horsewoman she is today.
Sadly, Paul lost his battle with terminal stomach cancer on February 18, 2018. Cancer is a horrible disease that tries to take everything from a person. Cancer may have taken her father from her way too soon, but she will not let it win! His memory and legacy will live on for years to come through the Red Rooster Horse Co. Keith and Kelly hope to pass the business down to their children and their children's children and so on...

A Father's Lessons and A Daughter's Promise

Kelly's father instilled so much more in her than simply a "love for horses." He taught by the example he set for his family.
Always;
-
Work hard at every task you do.
-
Never give up no matter how hard things may seem.
-
Be reliable.
-
Be honest.
-
Love God, family and friends.
-
Help others.
-
Take pride in everything you do.

Kelly made a promise to her Dad at a very young age. Already understanding Paul's passion for horses and his dedication to his family, Kelly vowed the following to her father;
"Someday, Dad, when I grow up, I am going to have a ranch FULL of horses for you and me to take care of. And, when you can no longer take care of the horses, Dad, I will take care of you."
Paul is the driving force of the Red Rooster Horse Co. and Keith and Kelly know that he always with them in spirit, helping every step of the way.
